Con ocasión de la próxima conmemoración del sexagésimo natalicio del poeta y filólogo JAIME SILES el Consejo de Redacción de la revista Liburna ha decidido rendirle un homenaje a toda su trayectoria literaria, académica y profesional, homenaje al que le invitamos cordialmente a participar. Nos permitiremos aún recordarle sólo las breves pero rigurosísimas normas de publicación de la revista y que abajo adjuntamos. Además en este caso especial y dado el alto número de contribuciones esperadas, el texto de los trabajos no podrá exceder en modo alguno el límite de 15.000 caracteres (incluyendo los espacios y, si fuere el caso, las referencias bibliográficas). Cumplidos dichos requisitos, rogamos remitan los originales por vía electrónica a la siguiente dirección:

“FAR BEYOND ALL SIGNS” AN HOMAGE TO JAIME SILES

In order to commemorate the sixtieth anniversary of the birth of the poet and philologist JAIME SILES, the Editorial Board of Liburna has decided to publish a special issue in honor of his literary, academic and professional accomplishments. We cordially invite you to contribute to this issue. Should you do so, please take into consideration the journal’s brief but rigorous guidelines, provided below. In addition to these, given the large number of contributions we expect to receive, every essay must be limited to a maximum of 15,000 characters (including spaces and bibliographical references, if present). Finished texts should be sent by e–mail to the following address:

NORMAS PARA LA PRESENTACIÓN DE ORIGINALES:

En Lıbvrna se publicarán preferentemente trabajos —tanto artículos cuanto reseñas y traducciones inéditas— de contenido interdisciplinar en el ámbito de las Humanidades o de aquellos otros campos cuyos resultados en razón de su interés trasciendan su marco de procedencia.

En la publicación de los trabajos se dará prioridad a las lenguas de mayor difusión entre la comunidad científica occidental y se respetarán los usos expositivos (presentación de citas, subtítulos, referencias...) de cada autor. Lıbvrna no presenta propiamente más “Normas de edición” que la de no admitir ninguna nota científica a pie de página ni ninguna referencia autobibliográfica o a trabajos en prensa.

Los autores, necesariamente doctores, de los artículos añadirán a su propuesta un resumen de los mismos de no más de diez líneas así como un breve listado de términos claves. Una vez publicado su artículo, estos recibirán las correspondientes separatas y un ejemplar de la revista. Los auto-res de reseñas recibirán el correspondiente volumen. La fecha límite e improrrogable para la recepción de originales destinados al homenaje a Jaime SILES en Liburna será el 16 de abril de 2011. Lıbvrna aparece con periodicidad anual.

GUIDELINES FOR THE SUBMISSION OF ORIGINAL TEXTS:

Lıbvrna is dedicated primarily to the publication of articles and book reviews with an interdisciplinary approach to all areas of the Humanities, as well as previously unpublished translations. We will also accept other works whose special interest, originality or quality are judged to merit inclusion in the journal.

Priority will be given to texts written in the principal languages used within the Western scientific community, and the editors will respect the formatting and reference styles employed by each author, as long as they are clear and consistent. The journal’s only “Guidelines” are that bibliographical or explanatory footnotes will not be permitted and authors may not make reference to their own work or to forthcoming publications.

Texts will only be published by authors with a Ph.D. All articles submitted should include a summary of no more than ten lines and a short list of key words. Authors of accepted articles will receive a number of off–prints and one copy of the corresponding issue of Lıbvrna. Authors of book reviews will receive one copy of the corresponding issue of the journal. The deadline for reception of original texts will be the 16th of April, 2011. Lıbvrna is published annually.
